Installing PrestaShop

PrestaShop is very easy to install.

Instructions for installation

I  would do the manual installation

Step 1:
You can download the latest version of PrestaShop at http://www.prestashop.com/en/download.
Currently while creating the tutorial  PrestaShop v1.6 is available


Step 2:
unzip the PrestaShop package

Step 3:

Upload all the files on your server


Step 4:
Create a database for PrestaShop shop on your web server.

Step 5:

Run the PrestaShop installation script by accessing the public URL for the chosen location in a web browser. This should be the URL where you uploaded the PrestaShop files.


Step 6:
Follow the instructions on each screen of the installer.

Step 7:
Once the installation is done, delete the /install folder and write down the new of the /admin folder, which has been generated in order to be unique to you, for security reasons.
